Job Description:

The Shopify-WordPress Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Shopify and WordPress websites. This role requires a strong understanding of both platforms, along with the ability to create custom themes and plugins, integrate third-party services, and ensure the websites are optimised for performance and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop custom Shopify themes and modify pre-existing templates according to the client’s specifications and brand guidelines.
• Implement and test third-party Shopify apps and integrations for inventory, payment, and other store-related functions.
• Ensure the compatibility and responsiveness of the websites across different browsers and devices.
• Optimize the websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices.
• Debug and troubleshoot any issues or errors that arise during development or deployment.
• Provide technical support and coordination to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the websites.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in Shopify development and ECommerce.
• Customize and extend existing WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific project needs.
• Develop custom plugins and themes where required to enhance website functionality and features.
• Knowledge in Shopify App will be added.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a Shopify & WordPress developer or a similar role.
• Experience in both Shopify & WordPress development.
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Liquid, and other web development technologies.
• Familiar with Shopify’s theming system, Storefront API, Meta fields, AJAX API, and Liquid templating
• Experience working with custom themes, apps, integrations, and APIs on Shopify.
• Knowledge of ECommerce best practices, web design principles, and user interface design.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Familiar with using of CHAT GPT.
